Who We Are

Hi, We are Scott and Krystal, Lake Cowichan locals who love great pizza and want to make great pizza to share with all of you:)

Our Product

We appreciate good quality food, that is why we make and prepare as many of our ingredients right here in our Carmanah Pizza kitchen. Our dough is made by hand each day with our secret blend of herb and spices, so it is always fresh, never frozen. We also make many of our own sauces, (including our marinara) grate our own house blend mozza and cook many of our meats here each day. We strongly believe in supporting local, so what we can't make our selves we try very hard to find locally. Such as our Pesto Sauce which is made in Mill Bay, our baked goods which are made in Victoria and the farm fresh chickens which we purchase from a farm in Cobble Hill and roast ourselves.

Our Restaurant

We have been asked many times what "Carmanah" means. For all the locals reading this, you probably already know. But for our visitors, Carmanah is an amazing beautiful protected rainforest located 20 km northwest of Port Renfrew. It was quite the subject of controversy some years ago while trying to gain protection from logging. Many people were involved in protests trying to save the beautiful forest, including a woman called "Gramma Betty". The pizza on our menu named for her,  is a tribute to all their hard work and efforts. Here at Carmanah Pizza we take pride in being environmentally aware and earth friendly. That is why we don't have a garbage bin in our common area and why we don't serve straws with our drinks. Our take out containers are all recyclable and/or biodegradable. Please help us by disposing of them properly :)
